Weekend Recap...A Little Late
OOOPS...I wrote this last weekend and I forgot to post it! Just pretend like it is last Monday. Enjoy!
It was a great weekend here at the DiFulgentiz casa. Grandma and Grandpa D came to visit on Friday night. Ella was a pill, but I still managed to get a couple shots of them together.
Poor E was tired, hungry and overwhelmed by everyone staring at her and had a complete meltdown. Huge crocodile tears, sniffling, flailing arms...the whole nine yards. She even screamed through her whole bath and jammie time. So sad. Grammie took over and put the bug to bed while we went to Grandma D's favorite restaurant, Capital Grille, with the Kennedy's. The food and wine was amazing!! Bobby had the best ribeye that I have ever had and I surprisingly loved the calamari (not the tentacle ones though). Delicious!
Grandma D brought Ella some fabulous new clothes and Kathy got her leopard ballet flats with sparkly bows! E will be modeling them soon!
We took a nap on Saturday morning and snuggled with this little muffin and then headed to Gloria's for brunch on the patio.
Ella was wearing her Rangers gear, but I knew this outfit wouldn't last all day. I swear she changes clothes at least three times a day. Her Rangers spirit worked, but outfit #2 (Longhorn onesie) didn't help our poor horns.
Aunt Kathy, Uncle Bob and cousin Terry drove their motorcycles to Grammie and Pop's house, so we had to have Ella's first Harley photoshoot. She liked sitting on them but started screaming when they revved the engines.

The badass bike gang!
There they go! Uncle Bob was not wearing a helmet...we will have a talk about that later!
Cowboys are on now and are tied with Mr. Brady's team. The hubs will be in an awesome mood all week if they can win this one!!

My Models
Bobby had to have professional headshots taken for work, so I brought Ella along to get in some of the shots. I absolutely love them!
All photos by Melissa Glynn Photography. She's fabulous.
Melissa and Bobby went outside to take more headshots while I waited inside with Ella. I should have known better than to let him go unsupervised.

Ella Grows!! 5 Months!!
Ella is a crazy little baby and already 5 months old! I think she weighs about 14.5lbs now and still has a collection of arm rolls and thunder thighs. She loves to giggle at funny sounds, read books, chat with daddy and pet/pull Chloe's fur. She is very aware of the cats now and will squeal when she sees one of them and lunge forward to touch. The girl rolls and rolls and rolls. I can't put her on the couch or the bed at all anymore because she is a quick little stinker. I bought a playmat for the wood floor in the living room, but she is usually like this within a couple minutes:
We tried cereal one time, but it didn't go over so well. She would rather spit it all back out and chew on her bib. We'll try again next week and see if she has changed her mind.
We aren't melting anymore, so we have been going on more walks to the park. She loves to swing and slide on the playground and watch the big kids during recess.
I miss recess.
I know it is mean to take pictures of my child like this, but I couldn't help it. She scooted down and got her head stuck between these two pillows. She freaked out - hilarious!
Delicious feet...
I love all of her little noises, so we regularly have conversations like this.
With her new purse from Cousin Lisa
I have a feeling that month six is going to be really fun with lots of new things for Miss E. I hope sitting is in her near future.
Here's a little recap of her monthly pictures so far!

Sad Little Longhorn
The game wasn't quite what we expected, but we still love our longhorns just the same. We don't like to lose, but the Rangers win made up for it a little bit.
We obviously can't take a baby to a bar, so we brought the party to our house. Ella had a blast playing with Brittnee, Kelly and all of her boyfriends. Babies look real good on both of these ladies. Hmmm... I think they should make Ella some friends soon :)
Poor baby was upset |
Ella showed everyone her toys and practiced her "hook 'em"
Her new favorite toy...feet
...and Daddy too!
It was also Grammie's birthday on Saturday. I think she turned 39 again...
After TX/OU, Bobby met up with the boys for the Rangers game and then this happened:
Yikes! I felt really bad for them, but they stayed through all of the delays and finally made it home around 1:30am. Ella and Bobby were both pretty wiped from all of the weekend festivities and spent Sunday like this:
Baby girl loves to watch football with her daddy.
Today we met up with Elizabeth and my favorite Red Raider (other than Brittnee). I met my little neighbor Emily for the first time when she was about Ella's age and I was in 5th grade. I can't believe that she is already in college and such a gorgeous girl. I feel old. Ella absolutely adored Emily and snuggled with her the whole time. Such sweet girls!
As you can see, Ella wore pants today! I think babies look so funny with pants on - like little people. So cute! I scored this pair for $2.97 at babyGap last week. I hope it gets colder fast so she can wear all of her cute Fall stuff.
In other news: Lola stopped pooping on the floor! Praise the LORD!!! I guess she was just tired of sharing her litter box with Chloe after 7 years. Weird.

Little Pumpkin
We took the bug to the pumpkin patch today to get some cute pictures and some fall decorations. It was super windy, but I loved Ella's little wispy hair blowing around.
We picked out three pumpkins for the front porch for $25! I didn't know pumpkins were that expensive or that you had to pay extra for the ones with the cool stems.
It's WINDY!
I think she is the cutest pumpkin of them all!
My two favorite people in the whole world.
Ella has the CUTEST outfit planned for the game tomorrow. Get excited!!

Daddy Oooops!
This was from about a month ago, but it still cracks me up every time I watch it. I should have warned him about jumping after lunch. Ha!

Busy Little Lady
Miss E had a busy week! First up...her first football game! Austin plays running back for his 8th grade football team and we went to watch him whoop some booty. Unfortunately, Bub hurt his back and the final score ended up 0-0. Ella had a fabulous time and couldn't keep her eyes off the action.
Ella is also 100% swaddle free now. Such a big girl! This is how she typically greets us in the morning. Goof.
Ella doesn't cry much, but she can go from happy to angry in about 5 seconds as demonstrated below:
We also went to Miss Reese's house to play and see Zoe's new room. Whit is working hard to get all THREE kids's rooms ready before Bryce's arrival. Reesie and Ella had a photo shoot on Zoe's new bed - aren't they they the cutest little friends ever!?! Reese is very attentive and likes to give Ella her paci and poke her face.
Austin is #25
Another exciting happening...ELLA FOUND HER FEET! Super fun!

Bobby and I went to the Rangers game with Mike and Tara on Friday and we had lots of fun except for the losing part. Grammie took care of the E at our house in the dark - no electricity for 2 hours!!
It's one of Bobby's favorite weeks of the year... TX/OU!!! Ella is going to wear a longhorn outfit every day this week to celebrate! Let's say a little prayer that Case and Ash can pull this off this weekend!
Happy TX/OU Week everyone!

Baby in Breck!
I didn't take near as many pictures in Breckenridge as I had planned, but here's a quick recap of what we did while visiting Grandma and Grandpa D over Labor Day weekend. It was Ella's first plane ride and she did fantastic. I can't say the same for the flight home...
We spent lots of time hanging out on the porch with Auntie Bean and Grandma and Grandpa. The weather was amazing - highs in the upper 60s and chilly at night.
Ella also experienced her first Oktoberfest in Frisco, CO. It wasn't quite the same as Breck's Oktoberfest but we still had a great time eating brats and drinking yummy beer. Ella took a little snooze with Sophie.
Bobby, Cathy and I went Briar Rose for a delicious meal all alone! NO BABY! It was fabulous to relax - I knew E was in good hands. We need to get a babysitter more often!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a great trip. Ella can't wait to go back for Christmas to see some snow!

Ella had some snuggle time with Grandpa D and watched the big TV with daddy.
While the girls were shopping, the boys went fishing and caught this guy:
